He was of Waterville at marriage to Augusta. He and Martha went to La Crosse, Wisconsin to live where Mr. Palmer established a flour mill on the La Crosse River. They are in 1880 census of Hamilton, La Crosse, Wisconsin occ. 'mill wright'.

Monroe married Pomroy, Augusta G. in 1850 in Brattleboro, VT. Augusta died before 1851 in prob. VT. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Monroe married Coolidge, Martha Bigelow in 5-JUN-1851 in poss. Watertown, MA. Martha (daughter of Coolidge, Aaron and Bigelow, Polly) was born in 20-AUG-1826 in Livermore, ME; died in 8-FEB-1912 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota; was buried in Fairbury Cem. Fairbury, Nebraska.
