A Mrs. Mary Emerson mar. 23 Oct 1853 David Hinkley in Gardiner in IGI. Mary M. Hinckley born 1821 Maine is in 1860 census of Gardiner, ME occ. 'dressmaker', in home of Benjamin F. Stone - no husband - but with children Ellen Emerson born 1842 and Jullian Emerson born 1845. In 1870 census of Gardiner Mary is by herself and still 'dressmaker'. Mary is in 1880 census of West Waterville in home of J. B. Emerson age 35 - 'mother-in-law'.

Richard lived in 1840 with David Parker according to Hist. of Waterville p. 210. He was a Revolutionary War Veteran - marched to Ticonderoga, Fort Independence and Lake George in August of 1776.
