- Revolutionary War veteran - Major. Marched from Groton, MA to Saratoga to assist in the capture of General Burgoyne and his army. He removed to Winslow in 1806 and was elected and served as a member of the convention which framed the Constitution of Maine. (From Hanson's 'History of Gardiner'.
