In 1879, Mr. Leighton was associated with Charles F. Hathaway and the manufacture of shirts and since his Charles' death has been the sole proprietor. He and wife were residents of Thomaston, ME in 1913 sailing on the SS Laconia.

IGI has of Hinsdale, Cheshire, NH. She was married 3 times but buried with first husband. She was apparently first married to David Leighton in 1840 and then Rufus Nason. Her maiden name Laura Evans. A Gratia Eavins age 59 is with David Leighton family in 1850 census of Waterville.
